OneCoWork Catedral - Barcelona's Newest CoWorking Space

In 2016, OneCoWork Marina Port Vell opened. In 2018, it won the coworker.com Member Choice Awards - the ultimate mark of recognition for a coworking space.

Later on, in 2018, we opened OneCoWork Plaça Catalunya. Building on our mission to bring joy to the world of work, our second site brought six floors (plus a terrace) of productivity to the heart of Barcelona.

If you didn't already know, our CEO Ben Nachoom doesn't believe coworking will exist in 15 years - he says it will be the norm. That's why we're on track to open 40 spaces in the next five years - with OneCoWork Catedral coming next, in April 2019. Here's everything you need to know about OneCoWork's newest space and why you need to be there.

The Location - Where is OneCoWork Catedral?

OneCoWork Catedral is conveniently located on the corner of Via Laietana and Av. de la Catedral - a 5-minute walk from OneCoWork Plaça Catalunya and 10 minutes from OneCoWork Marina Port Vell. It overlooks the cathedral plaza - particularly beautiful in the summer months.

It’s opposite BBVA and on top of Santander, with CaixaBank, Sabadell and Western Union just a couple of minutes further up the street. Cross over Via Laietana and there's Starbucks - not that you'll need it, with our free, unlimited coffee - and underneath us is Nostrum, offering a variety of home-style, healthy and fresh meals. Take a wander through the streets of the inspiring Gothic neighbourhood during your lunch break - Barcelona truly is a city where history meets innovation. We've got a Gaudí exhibition and a market a little further up on the Cathedral plaza and you'll discover so much more, walking through. Why not stroll down to Plaça Sant Jaume, where the Ajuntamiento and Generalitat are based and you can often find campaigners for various causes outside.

In terms of transport, OneCoWork Catedral is between the metro stations Urquinaona and Jaume, with a variety of busses passing down Via Laietana. We’re also only a 5-minute walk from Plaça Catalunya, where there are plenty of further connections throughout Barcelona to beyond, including the high-speed bus to the airport and plenty of local taxis. We've also got private underground parking available for OneCoWork members and motorcycle/ moped spots.

Amenities - What does OneCoWork Catedral include?

OneCoWork Catedral has a variety of meeting rooms, from smaller rooms of 3-5 people up to 36 people. Some of our meeting rooms are in a more traditional boardroom style and others are more relaxed, for those less formal meetings, catch-ups and brainstorming sessions. Our personal desk and private office plans include monthly credits and all members get 50% off regular prices for reserving meeting rooms without credits.

OneCoWork Catedral also has more phone booths than any of our previous locations, dotted all over the building. These sound-proofed cabins are perfect for making private calls and not disturbing your coworkers - whether that's over the phone, Skype or another tool (relying on our high-speed, triple-redundancy protected WiFi).

As a member of OneCoWork Catedral, you can download our free app for booking meeting rooms, registering visitors and more. Your visitors will be greeted at reception by our friendly Community Managers, directed to sign-in via a tablet - instantly alerting you that you have a guest - and able to wait on one of our comfortable waiting areas.

The app also includes your digital membership card, which enables you to access all our perks and partnerships across the city - from restaurant discounts and gym membership deals to law firms and business services.

Offices, Personal Desks and Hot Desks

OneCoWork Catedral, like our other locations, offers a variety of flexible office plans - so there's something for everyone.

Our hot desking areas are perfect for freelancers, creatives and those who like to move around. If you work from your laptop, this plan could be for you - just pick a desk when you arrive, plug yourself into one of the many power outlets, beam up to our high-speed wifi and you're off.

Our personal desks in shared areas are for those who might need some more permanence - perhaps you have multiple computer screens, files to store in one of the cabinets with each desk or need that extra level of privacy. Only those with access cards can get into personal desk areas and this is perfect for getting to know the small group of people who work near you.

Our private offices are for bigger businesses collaborating in teams - only you have the keys and each office is fully equipped with desks, chairs and more. For larger businesses with multiple offices, we also arrange bespoke furniture upon request, adjusting to your specific needs.
